Solaris AND AIX Administrators
On Call rotation 24x7 Admin role requiring the interested party to be open to working a Wednesday to Sunday work week.
The purpose of this position is to implement, support and secure the infrastructure systems (Sun/Solaris Infrastructure, Netapp, SAN/NAS, and Enterprise Backup Infrastructure).
Establishing and maintaining system/data security standards and procedures.
Leading technical support to the operations team in their maintenance, upgrading and troubleshooting activities.
Identifying, implementing and reporting system optimization.
Establishing methods and procedures for planning system growth and capacity assessment.
Providing expert technical consultation in the planning, evaluation, and installation of the technology infrastructure. Conducting feasibility studies of new technology and defining and documenting system requirements.
Ensuring consistent documentation of all Infrastructure Systems and procedures.
Developing tools (scripts/programs) for system maintenance/monitoring activities and automation.
Assisting project managers to create project plans, project roles and responsibilities, tracking and reporting project status. Communicating delays and issues.
Providing input and recommendations to Director, Technology Services for strategic planning and budgeting process.
Maintaining communication with Technology Group regarding current and future technology plans, design integration and direction.
