Senior SQL DBA.
Our client provides insurance to home buyers. They are looking for a Senior SQL DBA.
Responsibilities:
- Perform SQL Server installation, configuration, testing, maintenance and upgrades of database software
- TROUBLESHOOTING is the key
- Perform administration of databases including creation, configuration, account set-up, access and permissions, maintenance, testing, troubleshooting and performance tuning
- Create and perform automated database backup and recovery and disaster recovery planning, testing and execution, develop and maintain the back-up and recovery policy
- Implement scheduled maintenance on the databases, such as archiving, indexing and error checking/repair
- Implement monitoring systems for errors or performance problems; troubleshoot major reported problems; perform trend analysis to anticipate capacity problems; escalate any issues or recommendations to the Management Team
- Provide technical guidance in developing backup scripts to perform nightly backups, including reviewing the logs daily and troubleshoot any major issues
Qualifications:
- Looking for a Senior SQL DBA with 5-7 years of SQL Administration experience
- Expert level experience with SQL Server 2000/2005
- Excellent troubleshooting and performance tuning skills
- Experience with installation, configuration and maintenance
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
