Position Summary
We are looking for people with the right blend of skills, education, experience and attitude to join our Black-Box Exploratory Testing team. We use leading-edge testing methodologies that focus on identifying risks, finding bugs and producing better results. Our approach encourages learning, critical thinking, collaboration and creativity to get the job done. This is an opportunity to advance your testing skills and knowledge.
Expectations
- Learn about the system functionality and design tests to explore the risks you discover
- Work with Development and Product Management to achieve the best possible product test coverage
- Think critically about what you think you know and develop modules to help you test
- Accurately report and track product defects
- Develop test automation scripts and tools as required
- Have fun while getting the job done
Qualifications
- Knack for breaking software. You enjoy testing and have fun exploring systems
- Ability to observe what's going on and to notice what others miss
- Ability to describe what you perceive and to pose useful questions
- Outstanding oral and written communication skills
- University degree in Engineering, Science or equivalent
- Passion for learning!
- Ideally the candidate is a new grad
Assets
- Accounting or Financial Industry experience
- Prior Web-based testing experience, especially in areas of Usability, Security or Performance
- Experience with scripting languages (Ruby, JavaScript, etc.)
- Experience working with relational databases (MS-SQL, Oracle)
