Senior .NET developer
We’re looking for a senior .NET developer to join our rapidly expanding team to work on creating advanced online collaboration and sharing tools for groups and organizations. If you like to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment where interesting problems present themselves and decisions take minutes to make vs. days or weeks, you’ll fit right in. You are a senior developer with an inquisitive mind, excellent communication and interpersonal skills and a burning desire to learn new technologies and how they can be applied to solving various challenges in the application development world. You’re able to work on your own as well as part of the team and are not afraid to ask questions when needed.
Must have skills:
• 5+ years of experience building large-scale web applications using ASP.NET 2.0 / 3.5
• Familiarity with ASP.NET 2.0 Provider Model, .NET Framework 3.5, LINQ, Entity Framework, Windows Communication Foundation (WCF), Windows Workflow Foundation (WF).
• Experience with LINQ and/or Entity Framework or NHibernate.
• Strong database background. Proven abilities for database modeling, design and implementation using SQL Server 2005 / 2008.
• Excellent knowledge of T-SQL and experience in implementing complex logic in stored procedures. SQL development Fundamentals (Stored Procedures, Triggers, Views).
• Working knowledge of AJAX and various toolkits available for it (.NET-based).
• Excellent interpersonal, communication and problem-solving skills
• Strong hands on experience with web services, JSON, XML, XSL, XSLT.
• Solid knowledge of OOP principles and N-Tier principles
• Experience with a version control system such as CVS or Subversion.
• Working knowledge of CSS/JavaScript/HTML
The nice-to-haves:
• Experience developing using Agile principles.
• Current or recent .NET certification(s)
• Experience or knowledge of ASP.NET MVC framework
• Familiarity with JS frameworks, such as Prototype, jQuery, etc.
• University degree in computer science or a related field.
