Oracle Data Warehouse Developer (OWB)
The Opportunity:
You will work closely with project managers and client representatives to deliver critical email marketing campaigns. In addition to supporting large Oracle Data Warehouses in an efficient, timely and error- free manner, you will work with various 3rd party data providers to establish ETL processes for automated data load and production.
You will provide technical support and direction in developing and supporting system- level programs, and interfacing with customers and Business Intelligence Analysts on requirements. You will have responsibility for production support and maintenance of the Data Warehouse, working with other team members in optimizing system performance and for addressing operational issues to meet established Service Level Agreements for product delivery and support.
Key Responsibilities
* Designing, developing, managing and maintaining multiple internal data warehouses running on Oracle Database 10g and using Oracle Warehouse Builder.
* Testing and QA activities for daily ETLs and jobs, resolving data load issues on an on-going basis as well as carrying out pro-active testing and quality control activity to ensure data warehouse data integrity and quality is maintained.
* Designing, developing and maintaining existing PL/SQL code to implement business logic for multiple clients and carrying out one-time operational activities.
* Configure and monitor integration of client data between databases and communications applications such as email and campaign management systems.
* Work with individuals across the organization to build requirements and architect solutions to support business requirements.
Who Should Apply:
* Bachelors Degree required, preferably in Computer Science, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
* Must have at least 3 years of proven experience in Database and Data Warehouse design and development including Data Mart structures and Oracle PLSQL coding.
* Must have strong knowledge of ETL tools
* Must have strong experience with Oracle Warehouse Builder, Oracle Enterprise Manager and Oracle Warehouse Builder Execution Manager.
* Must have thorough working knowledge of Oracle Database Servers 9i, 10g and 11g, PLSQL, Oracle Application Server with Portal and Oracle Discoverer.
* Experience with UNIX-based operating systems, to develop shell scripts to carry out and schedule system ETL-related activities including file transfers and synchronization between multiple hosts, data import/export from flat files and data comparison and archiving.
* Experience with CRM and marketing data warehouse implementations, OLAP, reporting tools and Web Analytics.
