NETWORK ADMINISTRATOR
The Network Administrator is responsible for day -to-day support of Corporate and Sales Offices
Network operations. This consists of monitoring all aspects of the network for proactive
management. To be successful in this role you must have working experience of Windows Server
and Networking environment combined with strong networking technology knowledge that
includes TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLAN, VPN, Routers and Firewall. The candidate must also have
the ability to comprehend and contribute to network design , implementation / configuration and
concepts. A professional persona and strong communication skills is an essential component to
this role that will be interacting with end -users and vendors on a frequent basis . Other duties
include support for day-to-day computer and application at our Corporate and Sales office
Thorough understanding of the design and built of desktop and
laptop computers, network devices, including, but not limited to
routers, switches, network cabling, Blackberries and other
computing peripherals.
In depth knowledge of Windows 2000 Pro/XP, Windows
NT/2000/2003 server, MS AD and Lotus Notes; working
knowledge of LDAP, ADSI, SID History, ACL and NTFS
Permissions.
In depth/ Superior knowledge of networking technologies
including TCP/IP, routers, switches, DHCP, DNS, VPN and
LAN security procedures.
Good working knowledge with Firewalls (Checkpoint, Cisco),
Corporate Antivirus, Symantec Ghost, IIS, along with Veritas
Backup Executive.
Diploma or Degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering or equivalent amount of
education and work experience
CCNA (Cisco Certified Network Associate) designation AND
MCSE (Microsoft Certified System Engineer) for 2003/2008 preferable
Strong Communication both written and verbal is a MUST
